This is a rough draft for the autonomous meetups concept that I have been thinking on recently. I am putting it here so that the idea can be critiqued and to figure out the best path forward to execute on it. Open to any and all conversations surrounding it.
Summary
An ongoing autonomous set of meetup events that run with little human management. They act as a reliable and consistent way of gathering in a relaxed and welcoming environment to discuss the themes of the meetups with like-minded individuals with an interest in the theme who are eager to learn more about them, discuss the latest gossip pertaining to them, and build relationships surrounding them through networking.
We must assume the locations of these events are in a public space where the DAO is not responsible for the actions of attendees. However, it should be expected for people to act in their best behavior. This is meant to be a means of growing the Web 3 community in Austin and being a welcoming on-ramp into the DAO.

DAO Specific Benefits
There is an added benefit with having ATX DAO host these meetups as it brings natural exposure and recognition to the brand. The brand will be displayed within the meetup descriptions and potentially within the meetup name itself (I.E. ATX DAO Presents: Trading Tuesdays). Within the description may contain a short summary of the ATX DAO along with its missions and goals, along with a link to the discord or relevant websites.
With these meetups being a direct initiative by ATX DAO, it will naturally bring members to the event to “represent” it and are able to help anyone curious enough to dig deeper.
There may need to be dedicated discord channels open to everyone including those who do not own an ATX DAO NFT. The purpose of these channels are for easy communication in finding others at the events or to plan with others leading up to the events.
Addendum
When the REP token is released, there may be a possibility to integrate them into the system. We may need to partner or collaborate to build relationships with local businesses (bars, restaurants, etc.) We may need to supply iPads to sit on site. Upon request by the attendee to the space’s Person Of Interest (Server, Host, Manager, etc), the attendee will be able to scan a QR code on the iPad and be rewarded REP token for having attended the event.
