  • Proposal Draft: Inaugural ATX DAO Government Relations Event

Proposal #8: Government Event

ATX DAO’s expressed purpose is to make Austin the web3 capitol of the world. In order to do this, developing positive, productive, and friendly relationships with local government officials and policy thought leaders is a key metric of success.

Over the past couple weeks, we have received notable RSVPs including two city council members and a state senator for our February 17th government relations event.

This proposal is to approve the use of the treasury to cover whatever costs aren’t sponsored by a third party.

Venue - The Mexic-Arte Museum: $2500
Bar Service - Northcutt (culinary director for Consensys) : $1000
Merch (custom ATX DAO facemasks): $330
Food (Curra’s Grill): $2000
Media (Good Name Productions): $750
Custom Nametag Stickers: $100

The Law Offices of Shane M. Boasberg, PC will sponsor between $3-4k

Help needed:

Welcome station

  • Custom nametags for VIPs
  • Nametags and markers for other people
  • Would be cool if the nametags had ATX DAO logo
  • Running the welcome station day of

Bar

  • procure beer and wine and non-alcoholic beverages
  • pursue alcohol sponsorships

I think this is a good use of ATX DAO resources. I am glad to see us building bridges with government leaders. We have lots of work to do in this area. Will there be some type of program or presentation at the event?
