Executive Summary
ATX DAO is launching a collaborative art program with Ava Labs with the goal of supporting artists living, working, or exhibiting in Austin, Texas. ATX DAO will curate a group of artists who will create NFTs on the Avalanche blockchain. Ava Labs has allocated a budget of 5000 AVAX tokens to the purchasing of these NFTs. This is like a commission model with the goal of giving back to the Austin artist community.
Objective
The main objective of the art program is to nurture and showcase local Austin, Texas talent by offering them a platform on the Avalanche network for NFT creation. This will enhance Avalanche's appeal while empowering and supporting local artists.

Proposed Structure
1. Local Identification and Outreach: ATX DAO will leverage its existing artist network and partnerships within Austin to identify potential artist candidates. Outreach efforts will focus on local art galleries, Austin art events, and collaborations with local art schools and organizations.
Application Process: Artists and art organizations residing or operating in Austin, Texas can apply through a dedicated portal hosted by ATX DAO. Requirements will include a portfolio and a proposal for the creation of new digital work.
Selection Process: A curated panel from ATX DAO, along with a representative from Ava Labs, will evaluate applications based on originality, feasibility, potential impact, and local engagement.
Execution: Artists selected will be given a timeline of 2-4 months to complete their projects, with an emphasis on engaging the Austin community in their work. The ATX DAO panel and Ava Labs representative will be obligated to help artists that were selected.
Showcase: After the program has been completed, ATX DAO will coordinate an event to highlight the work that was done by the selected artists and bring the art and crypto communities together. Costs for this event will not be covered by Ava Labs.
