The North American Blockchain Summit (formerly Texas Blockchain Summit) is in Fort Worth this year from November 15th to 17th and is a prime opportunity to further our ambitions in becoming the leading web3 org in Texas. The summit is hosted by the Texas Blockchain Council, a close partner of ATX DAO who has invested time, money (lobbying dollars on the DAO bill and $5k towards our 2022 gala), and their reputation in helping us accomplish our goals.
Lee Bratcher (president/founder of TBC) has offered us 10 Pro Passes ($1k retail price per ticket) if we purchase a $2k sponsorship for the conference. The typical perks associated with a sponsorship are brand awareness (social media, signage, website, etc.) and a booth, but if we can get a delegation of DAO members together and approval on this project, I would like to ask him for more creative things such as help getting VIPs on The ATX DAO Podcast while on site, and even including us in the official conference programming.
Additionally, on Wednesday, Nov 15th - I have arranged for Stand With Crypto (Coinbase’s nonprofit crypto advocacy arm) to be the official host of the conference’s happy hour and we have been rewarded with co-branding on the event. It would be wise for us to have a strong presence at that Happy Hour to capitalize on networking opportunity. Building out our relationship with Stand With Crypto is a worthwhile endeavor.
Impact to runway for this project would be about .5 months but the upside possibilities are endless, it will bolster our relationship with a great partner organization, and it will be fun for our members.
