In our first government event, ATX DAO connected with policymakers to explain our mission. We offered our organization as an educational resource, and introduced our network of Austin-based Web3 professionals. In organizing the event, our Marketing team also connected with experienced consultants familiar with the local political landscape.
With the strength of our community and collective experience, ATX DAO now has the opportunity to advocate blockchain technology to local and state governments in service of continuing technological innovation, democratization of communities, and the public good.
This proposal is aimed at providing a membership track to political consultants Nate Walker and Jacob Smith on the basis of their engagement and expertise.
Be it resolved that:
-Given Nate and Jacob’s prior contribution to organizing our local government event, both will be whitelisted to mint Zilker round NFTs (at the prior round’s mint cost) on the passage of this proposal
-Should they prefer to contribute services in exchange for membership, both are eligible to mint NFTs at no cost following two additional weeks of collaboration with ATX DAO, given that they continue to materially advise our team during that time.
Be it further resolved that:
-The Membership and Operations committees will collaborate to create a set of standards for future case-by-case admissions, with an aim of promoting fairness and meritocracy in selecting new members.
